The Imaging Technologist will perform and teach specialized general diagnostic radiography procedures utilizing complex imaging equipment, covering areas like Adult and Pediatric Radiology, Dexa, Emergency Room, OR, Fluoroscopy, and Orthopedic Clinic. Duties include operating fixed and portable radiographic equipment, providing instruction to staff, establishing patient rapport, and administering contrast material under supervision.
Candidates must successfully complete a two-year or approved program in Radiologic Technology Education and hold current certification or eligibility from the ARRT in diagnostic procedures. A current Permit to Practice from the Iowa Department of Public Health for operating ionizing radiation emitting equipment is also mandatory.
