The Direct Support Professional will provide individualized, person-centered support to clients, assisting with daily living tasks such as grooming, bathing, dressing, and meal preparation while promoting independence and dignity. Key duties also involve offering emotional support, engaging in companionship, managing medication adherence, and ensuring client safety and well-being.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and previous experience working with individuals with disabilities or in a similar caregiving role is highly desirable. Candidates must possess strong verbal and written communication skills, reliability, empathy, and the flexibility to work varying schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
