The LPN is responsible for providing direct nursing care to clients and managing the activities of Certified Nursing Assistants. They also administer medications, provide education to clients and families, and monitor vital signs.
Candidates must be a Licensed Practical Nurse in Illinois with a minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical and surgical setting. Previous long-term care experience is preferred but not required.
Summary of essential job functions
Park Place of Elmhurst is seeking LPN’s to provide resident and nursing care according to physician’s orders and in conformance with recognized nursing techniques and procedures, established standards, and administrative policies. Maintaining accurate and complete records of nursing observations and care. Performs all functions in compliance with CDC, OSHA, JCAHO, State and Federal Regulatory bodies. Communicates and interprets the goals of care to the resident and family/caregiver.
Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Illinois. Minimum 1 year of experience in Medical and Surgical setting. Previous experience in long-term care is a plus but not required. Pass a physical, drug screen, 50-pound lift test, fingerprint for criminal background and complete the reference check.
