About the role

Interventional Radiologists are needed to provide coverage on a 26 weeks on/26 weeks off rotation between established hospitals, offering mentorship opportunities within an experienced team. The role involves performing a wide range of high-end Interventional Radiology procedures.

Job Description

Position Summary

  • Interventional Radiologists needed along the Florida coast, just outside of Tampa
  • Broad modality mix including X-ray, CT, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, and MRI
  • 26 weeks on / 26 weeks off schedule
  • Established weekly rotation across hospitals
  • In-house teleradiology support after hours

Local practice & community overview

HCA Florida Largo Hospital is a 455-bed teaching hospital serving Pinellas County across three campuses. As part of HCA Healthcare and affiliated with the USF Morsani College of Medicine GME programs, the hospital supports 10 ACGME-accredited residency and fellowship programs

The facility provides a full range of advanced services, including cardiovascular care with LVAD and heart transplant capabilities, as well as kidney and liver transplants. Additional areas of expertise include hepatobiliary, orthopedic, spine, and neurological care

Located in Largo, Florida, the area offers easy access to the Gulf of Mexico, beautiful white sand beaches, and year-round outdoor activities. With no state income tax, Florida offers both lifestyle and financial advantages

Qualifications

  • Diagnostic Radiology residency (ACGME-accredited)
  • Fellowship training in Interventional Radiology required
  • Fellows and residents encouraged to apply
  • Board eligible or certified (ABR or AOBR)
  • CAQ preferred
  • Florida license or ability to obtain

Compensation

Salary Range: $425,000 – $500,000 Final compensation will vary based on experience, training, and other factors

Eligible for annual discretionary bonus plus full benefits package, including health coverage, 401(k), and additional wellness and family support offerings

Requirements

Candidates must have completed residency training in Diagnostic Radiology from an ACGME accredited U.S. program and be fellowship-trained in Interventional Radiology, welcoming fellows and residents to apply. Certification by the American Board of Radiology or the American Osteopathic Board of Radiology is required, with CAQ being preferred, along with a Florida license or the ability to obtain one.
