The Registered Nurse is responsible for performing a competent level of nursing care utilizing the nursing process, encompassing assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation standards of practice. Professional performance standards include ethics, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, and evidence-based practice across various surgical procedures.
Candidates must possess a Registered Nursing License and experience in scrub or circulator roles within an Operating Room, or have completed a PeriOp 101 course. Required certifications include BLS within 90 days of hire, with ACLS and PALS required within one year of hire.
