Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients in the ED. Work a combination of day and night shifts as scheduled (7a-7p, 2p-12a, 7p-7a). Collaborate with NP/PA staff to manage patient flow and volume (79 patients per day). Utilize Ochsner EPIC EMR for documentation and order entry. Participate in onboarding orientation, EMR training, and shadow shift.
Candidates must have an active LA license and be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine, along with required DEA certification. Residency training is required, and specific certifications like ACLS, ATLS, and PALS are necessary if not ABEM certified.
