The technologist operates computed tomography equipment to produce cross-sectional images for medical diagnosis and performs various imaging procedures including general radiography and fluoroscopy. Key duties involve assessing patient care across age ranges, producing reformatted images for radiologists, utilizing PACS, and maintaining accurate records.
A minimum requirement is holding the appropriate state Radiologic Tech license and current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, along with ARRT registration. An Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology is preferred, and specific advanced certifications like CT certification and Fluoroscopy license may be required depending on the state of employment.
