The Physical Therapist plans and provides physical therapy services to clients in their homes according to the Plan of Care and company policies, administering evaluations and treatments as medically prescribed. Responsibilities also include preparing clinical notes, reporting client responses to treatment, instructing staff and families on therapy programs, and maintaining confidentiality and a safe environment.
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program and currently licensed in Massachusetts without restrictions, possessing at least two years of experience in a healthcare setting, with home care experience preferred. Strong interpersonal, teaching, organizational, and communication skills are required, along with access to reliable transportation and the ability to pass background screenings.

The Physical Therapist plans and provides physical therapy services to the clients in their home in accordance with the Plan of Care and the company’s policies and procedures. The Physical Therapist performs functions which require substantial specialized knowledge, judgement and skill based upon the principles of psychological, biological, and social services and must be able to make judgements accordingly. The Physical Therapist reports directly to the Branch Manager.
This is a part-time, 20-hour per week position, with an opportunity to grow into full-time.
Duties: and Responsibilities:
Heavy to Very Heavy. Involves lifting clients, bending, stooping, stretching, and setting up equipment. Must be adaptable to a variety of environments and community settings. Must be able to drive or use public transportation in all types of weather. Exerting more than one hundred pounds of force occasionally, more than fifty pounds of force frequently, and more than twenty pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements are more than those for heavy work.
1. Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program. 2. Currently licensed as a Physical Therapist in the state of Massachusetts. The license must not have been revoked, suspended, and without limitations or restrictions. 3. Have at least two (2) years experience in a health care setting or equivalent experience. Home care experience preferred. 4. Strong interpersonal communication and teaching skills. 5. Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently. 6. Excellent written and oral communication skills. 7. Access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation in order to travel to multiple company business stops a day. 8. A valid driver’s license and proof of car insurance when using a personal vehicle for company business. 9. Proof of negative PPD or documentation of negative chest x-ray. 10.Current CPR certification is highly recommended. 11.Pass initial and ongoing background studies and screenings including but not limited to those of the Massachusetts Department of Health and the Federal Office of the Inspector General’s List of Excluded Individuals and Entities.
