The specialist will perform coding audits to ensure compliance with all federal and state guidelines, including Medicare/Medicaid requirements. Responsibilities also include conducting validation reviews for various quality and compliance indicators and assisting with internal/external coding education and feedback.
Candidates must possess experience with CPT, ICD-CM diagnosis and procedure coding, E/M Documentation Guidelines, CCI edits, Medicare LCDs/NCDs, and state/federal regulations, along with required knowledge of DRGs. A Bachelor's or Associate's degree plus 5 years of coding/auditing experience, or five to seven years of work experience, along with RHIA, CCS, or CPC certification, is mandatory.

The rate of pay for each position will be determined based on a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, skills, etc.” The salary range does not include incentives, differential pay or other forms of compensation.
