This role involves setting up all radiographic equipment before angiographic procedures, performing quality control on cine radiographic images, and assisting physicians and staff in the cardiac cath lab/Interventional Radiology for efficient procedure execution. Responsibilities include prepping patients, sterile tray setup, post-procedure care, manipulating radiographic generators for optimal image quality, and operating various electronic monitoring equipment.
Candidates must possess knowledge of radiography typically acquired through an Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology and hold ARRT certification. Required experience includes 1-2 years working knowledge of cardiac catheterization and interventional radiology procedures, along with current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
This position sets up all radiographic equipment prior to performing angiographic procedures, processes and performs quality control checks on cine radiographic images, assists in preparing patient for procedures and assists other members of the cath lab/Interventional Radiology staff and physicians as needed to ensure timely and efficient use of the cardiac cath lab/special procedures.
Certifications and Licensures
ARRT - Reg Radiologic Technologist Required Equivalent Experience - Knowledge of radiography as normally acquired through completion of an Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology required. ARRT required. Knowledge of cardiac catheterization and interventional radiology procedures as normally acquired through 1-2 years BLS - Basic Life Support Required Equivalent Experience - Within 3 months of hire or transfer
