This role assumes responsibility and accountability for providing expert, compassionate, and individualized nursing care to patients and their families, collaborating with providers and staff to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Key duties include overseeing daily patient flow, triaging requests, delivering patient education, delegating care appropriately, and administering treatments while adhering to safety guidelines.
Requirements summary
Candidates must possess at least one year of clinical experience and hold a current Registered Nurse license in Colorado or a compact state, along with required certifications including BLS, ACLS, and PALS. A minimum of an Associate Nursing Degree is required for those hired after July 1, 2018, and basic computer skills for online tasks must be obtained within 90 days.
Demonstrates ability to handle high telephone volume of patient requests for medications, information and assistance.
Administers medications, performs treatments, and assists in procedures as needed; consistently adhering to patient safety guidelines.
Coordinates patient care with other physician practices, Vail Health and others as needed to achieve the highest possible level of patient care and satisfaction.
Demonstrates ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Delivers excellent service by utilizing Relationship-Based Care to advocate for safety, patient preferences, and optimal communication through partnering with patients and families.
Role models the principals of a Just Culture and Organizational Values.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Education
