The Occupational Therapist Assistant provides individualized patient care across all life stages in patients' homes, administering prescribed occupational therapy treatments and assisting with program development. Key duties include monitoring patient conditions, educating patients and families, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality care.
Candidates must possess an Associate degree from an accredited occupational therapy assistant program and maintain licensure in the state of practice (NC/SC) along with CPR certification, with one year of experience preferred. Essential requirements include significant physical capability for lifting and transferring patients, knowledge of home health procedures, and the ability to use professional reasoning for treatment planning.

Works under the supervision of the Clinical Team Leader and Registered Occupational Therapist. Provides individualized patient care for patients in all developmental stages throughout the life span including: Neonates - 0-28 days, Infant - 1-12 months, Child - 1-12 years, Adolescent - 13-17 years, Adult - 18-72 years, Geriatric - 72 + years, according to established policies, procedures, guidelines as directed by the Occupational Therapist. Participates in professional improvement programs. Provides patient consultation and assumes as communicative role with other professionals. Performs other duties as assigned. PRIMARY JOB DUTIES 1. Administers prescribed occupational therapy treatments to patients in all stages of life. 2. Assists with program development and discipline specific operations efficiently and productively. 3. Appropriately communicates and documents information in accordance to agency policies and procedures and discipline specific guidelines. 4. Contributes to program effectiveness. 5.
