The technologist will perform various radiologic procedures using standard, portable, and specialized x-ray equipment under radiologist supervision, following established protocols. This includes performing C-arm procedures in the operating room and pain clinic, as well as assisting with special procedure injections and fluoroscopy.
Radiographers must possess the physical stamina and strength to stand/Walk for extended periods of time, push heavy mobile imaging equipment, and lift or reposition patients weighing over 50-100 lbs using proper body mechanics.
The role requires frequent bending, reaching, and manual dexterity for manipulating equipment, as well as high visual/Auditory acuity.
Constant standing and walking throughout the shift are required.
Must have ability to move and reposition heavy portable x-Ray machines, c-Arms, and patient stretchers.
Frequent bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, and reaching (Sometimes overhead) are required.
Requires fine motor skills for handling delicate imaging components.
Auditory ability to communicate with patients and hear equipment signals; regular exposure to radiation, communicable diseases, and bodily fluids.
Ability to exert 30-70 lbs of force for maneuvering patients or equipment.
Ability to work in confined spaces and use ppe (E.g., lead aprons) for extended periods.
Ability to effectively communicate to all age levels served within the scope of the position/Assigned areas.
