The Registered Nurse is responsible for direct and/or indirect patient care, which includes comprehensive assessment, formulating nursing diagnoses, planning, implementing, and evaluating the plan of care. This role also involves collaborating with the multidisciplinary team, teaching/counseling clients and families, and managing nursing care, including supervision of personnel.
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited registered nursing program and hold current, unrestricted North Carolina RN licensure or Multi-State Nursing Compact Licensure, along with current BLS certification. Preferred experience includes one year of medical/surgical acute care experience, and specific training in de-escalation/aggressive behavior management is required within six months of hire.
A registered professional nurse employed by Erlanger Health is responsible for direct and/or indirect care of the patient.
Required: Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program.
Preferred: Graduate of an Accredited four year Nursing Program (BSN)
Experience: Required:
One year medical/surgical acute care experience.
The Nurse Licensure Compact will not change how to obtain or renew a North Carolina license. However, the North Carolina nursing license will be a single state license for North Carolina Residents or non-compact state residents. North Carolina licensure or multistate licensure from a compact state must be obtained within three months of hire for non-North Carolina residents.
