The counselor must be able to work independently to assess crisis situations, provide stabilization services at the client's location when necessary, and resolve the crisis. Following policy, the role requires appropriately referring the client to necessary services after the intervention.
A Bachelor's Degree is required, along with two years of experience in mental health or crisis intervention, preferably with a degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field. Candidates must also possess a valid driver's license meeting risk management requirements.
