We are excited to announce that we are looking for a Full-Time, Medical Assistant – Certified at Red Bank Gastroenterology in Red Bank, NJ.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examination by taking vital signs, medical histories, and recording symptoms.
- Assist healthcare providers during examinations and minor procedures by handling instruments and supplies.
- Manage patient records, including updating electronic health records (EHR) and ensuring confidentiality.
- Schedule patient appointments, answer phone calls, and coordinate communication between patients and medical staff.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, collect specimens, and ensure proper labeling and handling.
- Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of medical equipment and examination rooms.
- Educate patients on medication instructions, treatment plans, and follow-up care as directed by healthcare providers.

Minimum Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) from an accredited program.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

- Strong understanding of medical terminology and clinical procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a clinical healthcare environment.
- Additional certifications such as Phlebotomy or EKG Technician.
- Familiarity with insurance billing and coding processes.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Bilingual abilities to assist diverse patient populations.
