The Occupational Therapist specializes in stabilizing patients, assisting with mobilization, implementing therapeutic interventions, and establishing discharge plans in an acute care setting. This role involves collaborating with healthcare professionals to improve patients' ability to handle daily activities through tailored treatment plans, home exercises, and adaptive strategies.
Candidates must possess a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy and demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with essential empathy and compassion. The successful applicant needs the ability to thrive under pressure, make rapid decisions, assess risk, and apply strong problem-solving skills to unique patient situations.

Evaluating a patient’s home and/or other environments and proposing changes to fit the patient’s demands and improve autonomy. Teaching patients to use specific equipment. Measuring and documenting progress for assessments, billing, and reporting reasons.
