Job description

Position Purpose\n\t\nThe Technologist (RCIS) assists the physician during all invasive cardiology procedures. Provide patient care to all invasive cardiology patients, including acquisition and reduction of all pertinent information related to their procedure. Provide didactic and clerical training to employee and CVT students. Patient care includes care to patients in the following age groups: adolescent (13 to 17 years), adult (18-64 years, and geriatric (over 64 years).\n\t\nPosition Qualifications\n\t\nEducation:\nRegistered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist or registry eligible (by an authorized accredited Cardiovascular Association) RCIS to be obtained within 2 years of hire.\n\t\nExperience/Specialized Skills/Aptitudes\nUsually includes one (1) to two (2) years experience, continuing education desirable. Numerical ability, program presentation and training, communication skills, typing and dictation, mechanically inclined, Public Relations aptitude, teach/explain/instruct, clerical accuracy.\n\t\nLicenses/Certificates:\nBCLS Certification, must be completed prior to end of orientation period. ACLS Certification.\n**This position is sign on bonus eligible!**
