Plans and delivers professional nursing care to patients under physician direction, including medication administration and care plan maintenance. Mentors new staff and students while ensuring accurate documentation and patient education.
Requires an Associate Degree in Nursing and current RN licensure in Kansas or a compact state. BLS/CPR certification is mandatory, with other certifications like ACLS or PALS potentially required by department policy.
Required Education and Experience Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) Required License/Certifications/Registrations Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Kansas or compact state. Current BLS/CPR card from approved provider within 30 days of hire or by the end of orientation, whichever comes first. ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, NIHSS, AWHONN may be required per department/entity policy.
Preferred Education and Experience Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Previous experience in a similar environment Preferred License/Certifications/Registrations none Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to apply the basic principles of nursing. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively. Keyboarding skills and basic computer skills. Multi-tasking and prioritization skills. Physical Requirements: With or without accommodation. Heavy Work: Occasionally exerting up to 100 lbs - constantly exerting up to 20 lbs. 51-75% of the day may be standing or walking.
