The Speech Pathologist provides skilled speech and swallow therapy services, including evaluation and treatment, and establishes treatment plans considering discharge needs and functional status. They are also responsible for educating and collaborating with patients, families, and other healthcare providers, and delegating tasks to assistants, techs, and students.
The minimum requirement is a Master's Degree in Speech Pathology, with no specific experience required, although pediatrics experience is preferred for this PRN role. Candidates must possess a Speech-Language Pathologist license and preferably the ASHA certification.
