The Paramedic will provide quality care to patients under the direction of the Medical Director, adhering to the philosophy and objectives of the hospital. Responsibilities include reporting to the charge nurse for shift assignments and executing assigned shift duties.
A minimum of one year of paramedic experience is required, along with a High School Diploma or GED and successful completion of an accredited Paramedic Program. Candidates must hold current National or Texas Paramedic license, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
Competent in clinical skills required of Paramedic. Effective interpersonal relationship skills. Effective oral and written communication skills. Ability to function effectively in a challenging environment. Ability to read and comprehend English at a level necessary to follow written and oral instructions and safety precautions. Ability to listen, empathize and respond to patient, family, internal and external partner needs. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
