The Registered Nurse II will independently plan and provide professional nursing care to patients according to physician orders and established policies, operating within the scope defined by the North Carolina Board of Nursing. Responsibilities include planning, providing, and documenting care, delegating tasks, supervising other providers, and participating in maintaining the environment of care.
Candidates must graduate from an accredited BSN program, though exceptions exist for nurses hired before specific dates; no prior experience is required, but all new hires must complete the DUHS Nurse Residency Program within 12 months. A current or compact RN licensure in North Carolina and current BLS certification are mandatory.

Duke Primary Care Holly Spring Pediatrics seeks to hire Registered Nurse who will embrace our mission of Advancing Health Together.
Duke Primary Care Holly Spring provides comprehensive medical services for children, teens, and adults, with a team of family doctors, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants. For adults, services include internal and family medicine, annual physicals, preventive care, chronic illness management, and women’s health screenings. The clinic also offers sports physicals, immunizations, diabetes education, and joint injections. For infants, children, and adolescents, care includes well-child visits, routine checkups, immunizations, physicals, and screenings for hearing, vision, and development, along with management of conditions like asthma, allergies, and diabetes.
Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with occasional weekend

General Description of this Role
Independently plan and provide professional nursing care for patients in accordance with physician orders and established policies and procedures. Provide nursing services to patients and families in accordance with the scope of the RN as defined by the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
Work requires graduation from an accredited BSN program.
Registered nurses hired between July 1, 2014 and April 11, 2021 without a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (or higher) are encouraged to enroll in an appropriate BSN program within two years of their start date but must complete the program within seven years of their start date. Registered nurses hired before July 1, 2014 are not required to enroll in a BSN program to remain in thisjob classification.
No experience required. All CNIs will be enrolled in and must complete the DUHS Nurse Residency Program within 12 months of hire. CNIs are required to meet criteria set forth by the DUHS Nurse Residency Program within 18 months of hire to be promoted to CNII.
Degrees, licensures, certifications
Must have current or compact RN licensure in the state of North Carolina. BLS required.
