The Audiologist performs audiological and vestibular function testing and treatment, as well as diagnostic testing to assess patients' hearing and vestibular status. They develop and evaluate a plan of care while collaborating with the patient care team and educating patients and their families on treatment options.
A Master's degree in Audiology is required along with a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) and state licensure if required by law. Candidates must possess excellent critical thinking and customer service skills, and BLS certification is also necessary.
