Overview

Animal Health Center of Scottsbluff, a CareVet partner, is seeking a compassionate, part-time Associate Veterinarian to join our thriving small animal practice in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. We are committed to practicing high-quality medicine in a supportive, team-based environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a Veterinarian who wants to be part of a closely knit, highly collaborative team while maintaining schedule flexibility. Part-time schedule averaging 18–20 hours per week Flexible scheduling to support work-life balance Opportunity to build lasting client relationships and provide high-quality, personalized medical care Collaborate with experienced doctors, technicians, and support staff in a team-oriented environment About the Hospital Animal Health Center is a thriving two doctor, small animal practice with a strong support team offering high quality, full coverage health care for pets. The practice has been a pillar in the community since 1993, and is located in a large, stand-alone facility with boarding/grooming services. Scottsbluff is located a three hour drive from Denver, Colorado, Scottsbluff is a town in Nebraska with a population of 14,805 and has a casual suburban feel. The town boasts affordable home prices, many parks, and both young professionals and families. Responsibilities

Examine animals to assess their health and diagnose problems Treat and dress wounds Perform surgery on animals Test for and vaccinate against diseases Operate medical equipment, such as x-ray machines Advise animal owners about general care, medical conditions, and treatments Prescribe medication Work closely in collaboration with team members to provide high quality care

Qualifications

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree required Licensure in the state/s candidate will be working Ability to show compassion to both pets and their owners Outstanding dexterity in handling animals while performing precise tasks Ability to react quickly and make decisions under pressure about the wellbeing of an animal Strong fondness and understanding of animals Good communication and interpersonal skills Knowledge of animal behavior Ability to use medical technologies during diagnosis, research and surgery of animals
