The Surgical Technologist, under the direction of the Registered Nurse and Nurse Manager, is responsible for handling instruments, supplies, and equipment during surgical procedures, anticipating surgeon needs based on understanding the procedure being performed. This role requires maintaining constant vigilance of the sterile field to ensure quality patient care throughout the operation.

30am or 10:30am. Work 4 - 10 hour shift with call rotations.
The Surgical Technologist, under the direction of the Registered Nurse and the Nurse Manager, handles the instruments, supplies and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure. He/she has an understanding of the surgical procedure being performed and anticipates the needs of the surgeon. He/she has the necessary knowledge and ability to ensure quality patient care during the surgical procedure and is maintains constant vigilance of the sterile field.

Candidates must have a High School Graduate or equivalent education, along with either a Certificate or Associate’s Surgical Tech degree, or three years of experience as a Surgical Technologist in lieu of the formal degree/certificate. A Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS or BCLS) certification from the American Heart Association is also required.
