About the role

The CT Tech independently performs computed tomography procedures, including the proper administration of contrast media, operating equipment, and performing venipuncture within their scope of practice. This role also involves coordinating patient flow and maintaining the CT scanner equipment.

Position Summary

General Summary/Responsibilities: Independently performs computed tomography (CT) procedures utilizing proper techniques and administration of contrast media. Works under their scope of practice and in accordance with certificate/licensure in the administration of medications, operation of equipment, and venipuncture. Coordinates patient flow and the activities of the CT scanner. Exercises professional judgment in the performance of duties in order to maintain equipment in good working condition. May perform procedures in other imaging modalities or at other facilities based on departmental needs. May have on call responsibilities. Requirements

Candidates must possess a minimum of an Associate degree in Radiologic Technology and are expected to perform duties according to their certification and licensure. While no prior job-related experience is required, one year of specialized CT experience or additional training is preferred.
