The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging on patients and ensuring the proper preparation and administration of contrast materials. They also maintain patient flow, operate equipment, and assist radiologists during procedures.
Candidates must have an Associate's Degree in a healthcare-related field and be ARRT registry eligible. One year of clinical experience in radiologic technology is required, along with BLS certification within one month of hire.
Certifications and Licensures
ARRT - Reg Radiologic Technologist Required Equivalent Experience - ARRT registry or registry eligible required with in 1 year of hire. One (1) year clinical experience as normally acquired through AMA approved school of radiologic technology required. ARRT MR - ARRT MRI Required Equivalent Experience - ARRT MRI - required within two years of hire or transfer dat BLS - Basic Life Support Required Equivalent Experience - Within 1 month of hire or transfer
Education: Associates Degree
Degree in Healthcare Related Field. Knowledge of MRI as normally acquired through completion of an AMA approved radiologic technology program required or the Michigan Radiologic and Sciences Consortium (MiRIS) MRI Program. Two years' experience in MRI preferred
