The VAD Coordinator is responsible for managing inpatient and outpatient care for patients with a ventricular assist device, which includes patient and staff education, surgical coordination, clinic visits, and maintaining records for regulatory and research needs. Key duties involve educating patients and staff on device operation, troubleshooting alarms, collecting required data for regulatory bodies like the FDA, and assisting with research study preparation.
Candidates must possess a nursing degree (Bachelor's or Associate's, with specific RN licensure requirements) and hold current RN and BLS certifications. A minimum of three years of experience in cardiovascular nursing, cardiac surgical nursing, critical care nursing, cardiac transplantation, and/or VAD patient care is mandatory, with CICU experience being strongly preferred.
We’re looking for a VAD Coordinator, someone who’s ready to grow with our company. In this position, you’ll be responsible for the coordination of inpatient and outpatient care for patients with a ventricular assist device. This coordination includes but is not limited to patient education, staff education, surgical coordination, clinic visits, data collection and record keeping for regulatory and research purposes.
