Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician – Gaston Veterinary Hospital Gastonia, NC | Full-Time Pay Range: $18–$20/hour (based on experience)

Gaston Veterinary Hospital is a fast-paced, walk-in clinic where no two days are the same. With a new doctor joining the team, we’re looking to add a Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician who thrives in a busy environment, enjoys teamwork, and is ready to jump in and make an impact. Our team is supportive, collaborative, and focused on delivering excellent patient care while maintaining a positive work environment.

  • Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and procedures
  • Support surgical and dental procedures, including anesthesia monitoring (based on experience)
  • Take radiographs, including dental radiographs when applicable
  • Perform phlebotomy, place IV catheters (technician level), and prepare lab samples
  • Restrain patients safely and assist with patient handling
  • Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients
  • Maintain accurate medical records and treatment notes
  • Help keep workflow efficient in a busy walk-in environment
  • Collaborate with team members to support daily hospital operations
  • What we’re looking for
  • Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician with hands-on clinical experience

SCHEDULE • Four 10-hour shifts

  • 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM
  • One-hour lunch break
  • Every other Saturday morning until noon
