Medical Assistants perform administrative and clinical tasks to support providers and ensure smooth office operations, including patient registration, scheduling, supply maintenance, and processing documentation according to regulatory guidelines. Clinical duties involve administering injections, EKGs, spirometry, phlebotomy, and assisting providers during medical examinations.
Candidates must have a High School diploma or equivalent, along with one year of clerical or billing experience in a medical office setting, including experience with multi-line phone systems and various medical equipment. A current American Heart Association Health Care Provider CPR certification is required, and CMA, RMA, or AAMA certification is preferred.
Medical Assistants perform a variety of administrative and clinical tasks to help provide care to patients, support, providers, and keep office operations running smoothly.
