The Occupational Therapy Assistant executes individualized programs for patients with acute and chronic conditions to maximize quality of life and functional goals, following the plan of care to restore function and relieve pain. This role involves performing delegated services, preparing and cleaning treatment areas, recording patient progress, and assisting in patient evaluations.
Candidates must possess an Associate Degree or Program Graduate status in Occupational Therapy Assistant, along with required licensure as a Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) from NBCOT and the Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP). One year of Occupational Therapy experience is preferred, and CPR/BLS certification is required within 30 days of hire.
