The Occupational Therapist provides occupational therapy to patients needing restoration of physical and mental functioning to achieve independence in self-care and other activities. This role may also involve supervising Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and Aides.
Candidates must possess a certificate or degree from an accredited occupational therapy school and be licensed by the state where they practice, if required. Certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, Inc. (NBCOT) is also mandatory.
