The Technologist-Echocardiographer performs imaging procedures according to radiology standards to assist in diagnosis or treatment of disease, while also developing and implementing appropriate procedure plans following hospital guidelines. Responsibilities include completing required documentation, maintaining a neat and safe work environment, and participating in departmental Performance Improvement activities.
Performs imaging procedures/treatments according to radiology practice standards in order to aid in the diagnosis and/or treatment of disease. Performs other duties as assigned.
Candidates must demonstrate a thorough understanding of Radiologic principles and utilize appropriate techniques for optimal procedures. Minimum requirements include recent experience as a Sonographer, registration by ARDMS (or eligibility for new graduates), and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
