About the role

The Pharmacy Technician will support licensed pharmacists by assisting in the preparation, packaging, and dispensing of medications, as well as managing pharmacy inventory, including ordering and restocking supplies. Key duties also involve delivering medications to nursing units and ensuring accurate record-keeping, labeling, and storage.

The Staff Pad is proud to partner with a respected hospital in Las Vegas, NM, to hire an organized and professional Certified Pharmacy Technician for a hospital-based role with rotating shifts, weekends, and holiday coverage. Under the direction of a licensed pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician supports medication preparation, distribution, and inventory management.

Schedule

Full-Time | Days What You’ll Do Assist with medication preparation, dispensing, delivery, labeling, storage and recordkeeping Manage pharmacy inventory, supplies, ordering, receiving, and medication restocking Compound sterile and non-sterile preparations in compliance with safety standards Support insurance processing and prior authorizations as directed Operate and maintain pharmacy automation systems and equipment Provide exceptional customer service and maintain regulatory compliance What We Are Looking For

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required Completion of Pharmacy Technician training program preferred Current New Mexico Pharmacy Technician license (or eligibility to obtain) National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) preferred 1+ year of previous hospital or clinical pharmacy experience Additional Requirements Knowledge of medical terminology and Medications Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs Strong communication, organizational, computer skills & attention to detail Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment If you're passionate about healthcare and committed to excellence, apply today to gain valuable hospital pharmacy experience, grow your skills, and make a meaningful impact on patient care.

Requirements

A high school diploma or GED is required, and completion of a Pharmacy Technician training program is preferred.
