The Medical Assistant supports provider practice by assisting with direct patient care, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, administering medication under direction, and performing various diagnostic tests. Responsibilities also include managing patient callbacks, processing refill requests, maintaining supply inventory, and ensuring proper cleaning and maintenance of medical equipment.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and meet one of the following criteria: Medical Assistant experience, CNA/EMT/PCT experience providing direct patient care including vitals and medication administration, or graduation from a medical assistant program. Preferred is six months or more of Medical Assistant experience, and a Medical Assistant certification is preferred.

Under close supervision of nursing leadership, supports provider practice by assisting with direct patient care duties, including patient call backs and refill request. May perform diagnostic testing, maintain supply inventory levels, and clean and maintain medical equipment. Carries out all duties while maintaining compliance and confidentiality and promoting the mission and philosophy of the organization.
Qualifications: Education and Experience
• Six (6) months or more experience as a Medical Assistant.
