Provide essential technical and multi-skilled direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse. Assist patients with activities of daily living and report changes in medical or emotional conditions to the nursing staff.
Requires a high school diploma or GED and completion of a certified PCA/PCT, CNA, Medical Assistant, EMT, or phlebotomy program. Alternatively, at least 2 years of inpatient patient care experience is acceptable, with 6 months of direct care preferred.

The Patient Care Associate (PCA) is a member of the patient care services team with primary responsibilities for technical, multi-skilled direct and indirect patient care activities. The PCA is assigned to work under the supervision of a registered nurse who delegates tasks based upon patient needs and PCA skills and abilities. The PCA will report all deviations from expected patient parameters to the registered nurse.
