Position is responsible for evaluating, performing, and overseeing various laboratory tests/procedures as assigned. Assists in development of new or revised procedures. Serves as the person in-charge of the department in the absence of the Lab Director, Medical Laboratory Specialist, or Manager
Bachelor’s degree in a biological science required (Equivalency Required for Foreign Education); (Incumbents hired into this job prior to 7/1/2019 Bachelor's is not required)
Medical Technologist (ASCP) or Medical Technologist (AMT), Certified CLS (ASCP), or Certified MLS (ASCP or ASCP-International) CM, or Cytotechnologist CT (ASCP)
• Two (2) years of pertinent experience in a high complexity laboratory in the assigned/specified area; completion of Senior Medical Technologist skills competency within one year of accepting this position
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in a biological science or an equivalent qualification, along with relevant Medical Technologist certification (ASCP or AMT). A minimum of two years of experience in a high-complexity laboratory in the specified area is required, along with the ability to complete Senior Medical Technologist skills competency within one year.
