Licensed Practical Nurse- Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center

• University of Iowa Health Care Department of Nursing is seeking a 100%25 Licensed Practical Nurse to work in our Holden Comprehensive Cancer Clinic.
• Duties to include: Provides nursing care under the supervision of a registered professional nurse.
• Participates in the development of nursing care plans and in the implementation of therapeutic program for patients.
• In less complex situations, may assume responsibility for directing and supervising assigned nursing personnel.
• In more complex situations, performs as an assistant to the registered professional nurse.
• Performs patient care related to vital signs, lab draws, setting up and assisting with minor procedures, in-clinic treatments, point of care testing and other duties as assigned.
• Provides psychological support to the patient and family based on assessed needs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements Licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with the Iowa Board of Nursing, or eligible for temporary work permit. Responsible to take the required continuing education hours to maintain a valid LPN certification.
