The Music Therapist is responsible for planning and implementing music therapy services for their assigned program, which includes defining and implementing treatment goals as part of the interdisciplinary treatment team. This role also involves providing continuous patient care, observation, interaction, and role modeling to patients.
A Bachelor's Degree in Music Therapy is required, though a Master's degree is preferred, along with one year of related experience, preferably with knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques. Candidates must also obtain Music Therapist Board Certification and complete CPR and CPI training.
