Nurses will provide care for patients in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), covering Phase 1 and Phase 2 areas, as well as PreOp depending on patient needs across diverse surgical populations. The role involves working 36 hours per week, typically in 4x9 shifts, with an on-call requirement for off-shift times, holidays, and weekends.
Candidates must possess at least one year of experience in Critical Care (ICU or ED) or PACU nursing, hold an active RN license in Virginia, and maintain current AHA certifications for ACLS, PALS, and BLS. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required, or an Associate’s Degree (ADN) with a commitment to completing the BSN within five years.
BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associate’s Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date. RN license to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia. ACLS, PALS, BLS healthcare provider certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA). 2 years plus PACU/Critical Care experience preferred. RN PACU
