The Advance Practice Professional provides routine direct care to primary care/specialty care clinic patients, including rechecks and same-day appointments. This involves performing physical examinations, ordering tests, establishing diagnoses, prescribing medications, and instructing patients and families.
Candidates must have a Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program and hold current California licensure for their respective role. Required experience includes two years as an NP or four years as a Nurse, along with current CPR certification and DEA/Furnishing Numbers.
At NorthBay Health the Advance Practice Professional (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) In Occupational Health provides routine direct care to primary care/specialty care clinic patients. This includes but is not limited to recheck and same day appointments. Performs physical examinations; performs or orders diagnostic tests; performs procedures and treatments; establishes diagnosis; prescribes medications; instructs patients and family members about medical conditions and treatment. Provides continuity for patients with assigned physician practices.
