In-Home Caregiver - Macungie

The caregiver performs or assists the patient with personal care activities as prescribed in the plan of care, including hygiene, mobility, and elimination, while maintaining a safe environment and properly using equipment. Responsibilities also include assisting with home maintenance, monitoring vital signs, documenting care provided, and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and agency policies.

Candidates must perform tasks within the limits of their preparation and experience, practice Universal Infection Control Precautions, and respect patient autonomy and confidentiality. A requirement includes completing a minimum of 12 hours of in-services per year and adhering to the agency's Code of Conduct.
