Under supervision, the MRI Technologist performs various procedures using MRI equipment to generate high-quality diagnostic images, requiring independent judgment and initiative. This role involves familiarity with basic patient care, MRI exam procedures for patients under anesthesia or conscious sedation, and conventional MRI invasive procedures.
Candidates must be graduates of an ARRT-approved radiologic technology program and hold ARRT (R) Certification or ARMRIT certification, maintaining continuing education mandates. Required experience includes medical/hospital clinical experience and basic computer skills, with prior MRI experience or intensive on-the-job training necessary before taking call.
Under the supervision of the MRI Team Leader and/or the radiologist(s), performs a variety of procedures requiring independent judgment and initiative in utilization of MRI equipment to create high quality diagnostic images.
Required: A graduate of an ARRT approved radiologic technology program, or equivalent program.

Required: Medical and/or hospital clinical experience. Basic computer experience (1-2 years work experience or college level classes). Prior experience in MRI or an intensive on the job training session in MRI is required before taking call.

ARRT (MR) Certified or ARMRIT Certified CPR certified.

Must be familiar with basic patient care and MRI exam procedures concerning patients requiring anesthesia or conscious sedation. Must be familiar with conventional MRI invasive procedures.
The employee must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide comprehensive care appropriate to the age of the patients seen in the MRI Department.
The employee must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his or her assigned unit. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his or her age-specific needs and to provide the care needed as described in the unit's policies and procedures.
