The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is responsible for providing medical evaluation, management, and appropriate follow-up to patients in Level 2 specialty areas, which includes initiating patient care plans with medical and pharmacological management as necessary. This role also involves active participation in continuous quality improvement projects and serving as a resource for patient, family, and staff education.
Candidates must possess an advanced degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant studies along with the appropriate licensure (PA or APRN). Experience in the specialty area is preferred, and preferred qualifications include completion of an accredited FNP, PMHNP, or PA program, along with current Georgia licensure and relevant national certification.

Completion of an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitionerprogram or Physician Assistant program. Currently licensed as an advanced practice nurse in the state of Georgia by the Georgia Board of Nursing and certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or equivalent body or Certified as a Physician's Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). Licensed as appropriate in the state of Georgia. ACLS is not required for Psych at Grady APP roles. NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location. Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion.
