The Phlebotomist draws blood samples for diagnostic testing and transports them to the laboratory. They also provide updates on test results to patient areas and perform routine maintenance on work areas and equipment.
Candidates should have skills in clear communication and accurate record-keeping. Basic computer literacy is required, and training from an approved phlebotomy program is desired.
The Phlebotomist draws blood samples to be used for diagnostic testing and transports samples to the appropriate laboratory. Provides updates to the patient areas on results of the tests. Performs appropriate CLIA waived routine tests or procedures in a clinical laboratory.
