The Infusion Nurse is responsible for documenting patient information accurately, conducting patient assessments, and collaborating with healthcare providers to ensure treatment plans are followed. They also administer various treatments and educate patients on medication procedures.
Candidates must have a current RN license in Connecticut and previous experience in oncology, including accessing ports and placing IV lines. An Associate's Degree in Nursing is required, along with the ability to stand for the duration of the shift.

We are seeking a full-time Oncology Nurses for Eastern CT Hematology and Oncology located in Norwich, CT. Responsibilities include: Clearly and accurately documents pertinent information in the patient's medical record. Consistently demonstrates effective documentation practices and develops strategies to ensure complete documentation of patient care Completes timely and ongoing patient assessments and responses to treatments serving as a key participant on the treatment team Works closely with APRNs and Doctors to ensure appropriate and prescribed treatment plans are followed Oversee triage responsibilities when scheduled Deliver teaches to patients on a variety of different subject matters and medication procedures Administer chemotherapy administration as well as immunotherapy, intravenous gamma globulin, iron infusions and growth factor support Ideal candidates have: Current RN license through the state of CT Previous experience accessing ports and placing IV lines Previous experience in Oncology and working with an oncology EMR preferred Associate's Degree in Nursing required Ability to stand for the duration of shift and move quickly throughout the infusion center Eastern Connecticut Hematology and Oncology (ECHO) Associates is proud to provide expert hematology and oncology care to patients across Eastern Connecticut for over 30 years.
