The technician provides direct patient care and clerical support in the Adult Surgical Step-down Unit. Responsibilities include maintaining a clean environment, assisting the patient care team, and managing patient records.
A high school diploma or GED is required, along with previous acute patient care experience or completion of the IU Health PCA education program. Basic Life Support certification and knowledge of medical terminology and infection control are also necessary.
