The Peer Recovery Coach I engages and inspires members to explore and meet their recovery goals. They also provide consultation to the team and respond to critical situations with high-level engagement and de-escalation skills.
Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED and Traditional Health Worker Certification as a Peer Support Specialist or Peer Wellness Specialist. Additionally, one year of experience supporting individuals with behavioral health challenges is required.
The Peer Recovery Coach I engages, inspires, and facilitates meaningful conversations with members served that assist the members to explore, create, and meet their own recovery goals. Peer Recovery Coaches provide consultation to the team to promote and reinforce Telecare’s Recovery Culture as defined by the Telecare Recovery Centered Clinical System (RCCS) in which each member’s point of view and preferences are recognized, understood, respected, and integrated into services and self-help programming. Additionally, Peer Recovery Coaches respond to critical situations with high-level engagement and de-escalation skills which support a least restrictive environment for members served experiencing an emergency related to a mental health/addiction challenge.

Expected starting wage range is $18.69 - $22.52. Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges. The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.

Our typical process includes a long-term care referral to the State of Oregon Office of Addictions and Mental Health. When capacity allows, we do accept direct referrals from the community.

Adults ages 18 and older who have been diagnosed with a serious mental illness.
Hours of Operation: Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
The state of Oregon has chosen Telecare to provide a Post-Acute Intermediate Treatment Service (PAITS) to meet the needs of people. The Recovery Center at Gresham is designed to accommodate 16 residents.
