The Pharmacy Technician supports the daily workflow of the pharmacy by typing new prescriptions, processing refills, counting medications, and stocking shelves. They ensure the timely and appropriate distribution of drug therapy while adhering to all relevant laws and policies.
Candidates must complete an approved pharmacy technician training program to obtain the required Washington State Pharmacy Technician Certification by the date of hire. Required abilities include knowledge of pharmacy law, problem-solving skills, strong communication, and the ability to perform pharmaceutical calculations.
The Kaiser Permanente Pharmacy Technician performs functions that support the daily workflow of the pharmacy. The Kaiser Permanente Pharmacy Technician ensures the timely and appropriate distribution of drug therapy in compliance with state and federal laws and in accordance with Kaiser Permanente policies and procedures.
One (1) plus year of Pharmacy Technician experience. Two (2) plus years of IV experience. Two (2) plus years of warehouse experience. Ability to use available resources and tools efficiently and effectively. The ability to perform pharmaceutical calculations, identify drug names, and have knowledge of most common uses for pharmaceuticals. Completion of an approved pharmacy technician training program.
