The MDS Coordinator is responsible for the accurate and timely submissions of the Minimum Data Sets (MDS) in the facility. The role focuses on managing the MDS assessment process in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
Candidates must have 2-3 years of direct experience with MDS certification and a Maine RN license in good standing. Experience with ICD 10 coding and training is also required.

The MDS Nurse (RN) is responsible for the coordination and completion of the Minimum Data Set (MDS) assessments in accordance with federal and state regulations. This role works collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to ensure accurate documentation, appropriate reimbursement, and high-quality resident care outcomes.
Key Responsibilities Complete and coordinate MDS assessments Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all MDS submissions Collaborate with nursing, therapy, and interdisciplinary team members to gather required documentation Monitor documentation to support coding and reimbursement accuracy Participate in care plan development and updates as needed Stay current with CMS guidelines and regulatory changes Assist with audits and quality assurance initiatives Schedule Part-time, 32 hours per week Flexible scheduling based on facility needs and candidate availability
